Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This is a list of questions that we get asked most often and the answer that we give for each. Look here for answers to your questions. If you don't see your issue addressed here, send email to questions@panpacificrv.com.

Q. Why aren't all the RVs priced?
A. They are. If an RV is on sale, the price is on the listing page. Otherwise, it is on the detail page. Click on the photo, or where is says "Click for more Info"

Q. How long does it take to approve my loan?
A. It depends on your credit history. It can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days.

Q. How long can I finance my RV for?
A. That depends on several things. The type and cost of the RVand your credit rating are the two biggest factors. We routinely get 144 month contracts approved. The best thing to do is stop by or call one of or sales people to discuss your specific situation.

Q. Do you take trade-ins?
A. We sure do. We will give you top dollar for your trade.

Q. What if I still owe a balance on my trade-in?
A. We can still make a deal. Stop by or call.

Q. Can I tow a trailer with my VW Beetle?
A. Sure. People tow trailers with motorcycles. The real question is how large of a trailer can you tow.

Q. What does Dealer Prep cover?
A. On a used unit, it covers a safety and appliance check. On a new unit, it covers the cost of the battery, and propane. On both, it covers cleaning the unit inside and out, and the time for a technician to walk through the unit with the customer, show them how everything works and answer any questions.

Q. Do you take consignments?
A. Due to limited space, we can only take a few consignments. If you have a clean late model RV for sale, email a couple pictures to sales@panpacificrv.com along with you name and phone number. Someone will get back to you.

Q. What is GVWR?
A. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. This is the maximum amount your vehicles can weigh including passengers and cargo.

Q. What is GAWR?
A. Gross Axle Weight Rating. This is the maximum amount of weight that can be placed on an axle. This assumes the weight is evenly distribuuted on both wheels.

Q. What is UVW?
A. Unladen Vehicle Weight. This is the amount the vehicle weighs empty. With motorized, it often assumes a full load of fuel and all required fluids. Check your manual to be sure.

Q. What is payload?
A. That is the difference between the GVWR and the UVW. Payload has to account for passengers, gear, fresh water, grey water, propane, food, lawn chairs, awning, air conditioner, etc. It can add up fast.

Q. What is GCWR?
A. Gross Combined Weight Rating. This is the maximum amount that the tow vehicle and the trailer can weigh combined. Remember that includes payload. Also remember that the GCWR may be lower that the combined GVWR ratings.

Q. What is a Class A Motor home?
A. These are conventional motor homes constructed directly on medium-duty truck chassis which include the engine and drivetrain components. Class A motor homes are usually taller and tend to have more storage.

Q. What is a Class B Motor home?
A. Class B motor homes are generally made from a van body. They sometimes have fiberglass extensions added to provide more headroom. The difference between a van conversion and a class B Motor Home is that a Motor Home will have cooking and toilet on board where a van conversion is usually just sleeping.

Q. What is a Class C Motor home?
A. A class C or 'Minnie' motor home is built on a van or pickup chassis, without the van body. The body is added by the motor home manufacturer. A class C motor home is usually not as tall, not as wide, and sometime shorter thatn a class A. Class C's are now available with slide outs. The distinguishing feature of a class C vs a class A is the cab over bed that a class C has.
